Big Rivers coal-to-gas conversion: Case study of Robert D. Green Units 1 & 2
The Big Rivers Coal to 100% Gas Project began with a conceptual design and cost estimate, flowing into a multiple contract approach. It started with procuring a low-pressure gas flow control skid, safety shut-off stations and gas burners, igniters and scanners. Controls also were reconfigured for gas operation and a new metering and regulation station was developed to include gas heaters, odorizer and redundant high-pressure gas flow control skids.
This presentation will discuss modeling and managing expectations for this type of conversion project.
