Optimization and automated controls for energy storage facilities
Optimization software allows users to manage the dispatch of coupled renewable energy and storage assets in various ISO/RTO markets. This optimization boosts the revenue of resources across multiple markets and revenue streams, helping storage project owners to maximize the value of their projects. Optimization software combines a price forecasting engine, mixed integer programming optimization and onsite, real-time controls to ensure a facility is charging and discharging based on the schedule set by the software and/or market results from the ISO.
This presentation will discuss the various revenue opportunities that can be achieved with optimization software, such as energy, capacity, and ancillary service markets, as well as non-market revenues such as Massachusetts Clean Peak and SMART programs, and New York VDER program.
