Optimizing Plant Performance

Power generation is one of the biggest sources of freshwater consumption in the U.S., mostly through cooling towers.

This session will discuss typical water consumption models and costs and explain how cooling tower plumes impact power plants in terms of safety and efficiency. The session will also present how a novel plume capture technology uses electric fields to collect water content from cooling tower plumes, resulting in plume abatement and water savings.
