Are low river levels and excessive pump cavitation causing mechanical failures at your facility? Evergy and Burns & McDonnell collaborated to design a vacuum lift system for Evergy’s Iatan and Hawthorn Generating Stations to address these issues. This innovative system creates a sealed chamber around the circulating water pumps, allowing a vacuum pump to maintain water levels higher than the river, reducing cavitation damage and improving pump reliability.
