What is the Future of Data Center Power?

As the demand for AI data center power accelerates, hyperscalers Microsoft, Amazon and Google are investing billions of dollars in nuclear energy. While this seems like a promising marriage, data center developers are also turning to onsite natural gas-fired power before advanced nuclear solutions like small modular reactors (SMRs) are ready.

This session explores the key drivers shaping data center energy strategies, including scalability, resilience and sustainability goals. The discussion will also address practical considerations for deploying onsite generation, such as cost, permitting and grid integration challenges.
