As electricity demand surges from data centers and other large energy users, the need for reliable, low-emission onsite power is growing. Solid oxide fuel cells are emerging as a practical solution, offering high efficiency, fuel flexibility and the ability to operate on hydrogen as well as natural gas. When paired with fast-reacting storage, these systems can respond within milliseconds to dynamic load profiles, making them well-suited for today’s challenging operating environments.

This session will outline the technical foundations of fuel cell architecture for load-following applications and share lessons on deployment, permitting and integration. Attendees will come away with an understanding of how fuel cells can strengthen resiliency, enable hydrogen adoption and advance both sustainability and reliability goals.
