As data centers continue to expand, securing sufficient power from the grid has become a growing challenge, driving interest in onsite generation. Many developers are turning to simple-cycle natural gas turbines due to their speed to market and lower upfront costs, but this approach creates exposure to long-term fuel price risk, especially with rising LNG exports and the inefficiency of simple-cycle operations.
