Molten Salt Reactors: Natura Resources' Blueprint for Abundant Energy, Clean Water and Lifesaving Medical Isotopes
Natura Resources is working to bring molten-salt reactor (MSR) technology into commercial use. The company’s high-temperature, low-pressure, liquid-fueled reactors are designed to produce gigawatt-scale carbon-free electricity, support clean water production through waste-heat utilization and generate medical isotopes as co-products, with inherent safety characteristics and a simplified design.
This session outlines Natura’s technical progress, regulatory milestones and factory-built deployment model, including its 1 MW demonstration reactor under development at Abilene Christian University. Attendees will hear how the company plans to move from demonstration to first commercial operations in the early 2030s and learn how a single reactor concept could support electricity needs, water production and medical isotope supply.
