Power Plant Capacity Increase Results via Condenser and Heat Exchanger Nanocoating Application

January 19, 2027

Condenser performance is one of the few places where a chemistry-adjacent intervention shows up directly in plant output. This session presents field results from THERMOPHASE nanocoating applications across more than 10,000 MW of power and industrial facilities, including coal, combined cycle and nuclear plants.

The results are framed in the parameters condenser engineers already track: back pressure, terminal temperature difference, inlet temperature difference and log mean temperature difference. Where those numbers improved, plants reported increased MW output, better heat rate, reduced water usage, fuel savings and lower emissions. The presenter reports payback periods measured in days, and in some cases hours.

The session walks through the application experience and the verified performance data behind those claims, giving plant engineers and reliability staff a basis for judging whether the results would translate to their own condensers and heat exchangers.
