Atiqul Islam

Supervisor, Operation Stability Planning, Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT)

Dr. Atiqul Islam is an Electrical and Modeling Engineer specializing in renewable energy and power systems. Holding a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, he built his expertise over seven years at Siemens Gamesa in Orlando, Florida, managing turbine electrical models and conducting power systems simulations, before briefly serving as a Senior Power Systems Engineer at Ørsted. He currently serves as the Supervisor of Operations Stability Planning at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), where he focuses on Generation, Large Load integration and Grid Stability.
