Billy Yancey is Vice President of Technical Services and Compliance at Electric Power Engineers (EPE). Billy leads a group of Subject Matter Experts (SME) who work closely with EPE’s Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team to identify and develop new services, studies, and internal capacity building to ensure EPE remains on the cutting edge in technology and services, while providing the utmost quality to our clients to support the Energy Transition. Mr. Yancey specializes in transient stability studies, grid integration studies, and NERC compliance. He has an in-depth knowledge of both generic and user defined dynamic models and provides skilled Electrical Engineering support in the review, evaluation and development of generic models and user defined models for the completion of transient stability studies. At EPE, Billy developed the NERC Compliance services that includes the review and recommendations of protection settings, facility ratings, planning modeling and emergency operations and black start. Mr. Yancey has performed capacity building exercises through workshops, short courses and trainings for numerous utilities, consultants and engineers across the US and internationally.
