Brian's professional engineering career began at Burns &McDonnell working on Boiler Improvements for Energy clients in 1999. During his career he has worked on over 200 NOx reduction projects including burner replacement at Shand station. Brian's experience includes designing low NOx coal fired and gas fired burners and overfire air systems on Lignite, Powder River Basin, Western and Eastern bituminous coal. Brian has performed combustion tuning on nearly all Original Equipment Manufacturers coal and gas burners and overfire air systems. Brian’s experience includes creating winning proposals, contract negotiations, construction management, project management, process design, control narratives, equipment design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, start-up, start-up support, combustion tuning and performance testing on Low NOx burner systems, Overfire Air systems, Selective NonCatalytic Reduction (SNCR) systems, and Activated Carbon Injection systems.
