Carrie is currently a Construction Permitting Manager at Westwood Professional Services where she is involved in preparing permit application materials for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Her team prepares specific permitting and compliance plans, including Decommissioning Plans, SPCC Plans, EPCRA Tier II reports, and others. Her work in both pre-construction and construction permitting for developers and EPC contractors has given her a unique perspective on the full evolution of renewables projects, from conception to operation. For the past three years, she has been primarily involved in the development of Decommissioning Plans, and has prepared hundreds of plans for wind, solar, and battery projects across the nation. She enjoys incorporating her engineering background with permitting experience to develop comprehensive but approachable permitting plans. Carrie has six years of experience in the renewables field; before joining Westwood, Carrie worked for eight years as an environmental engineer working in due diligence and construction and industrial permitting.

"I think my favorite part of the conference has been essentially the Smarter Power Plant Track. There's been a lot of good [takeaways] for us because our plans are quite old, so there's a lot of manual readings and things, but me being the IT generation, I think it could be done better. So having a lot of these [takeaways] from companies who have [accomplished what] we are wanting to do is great. It's been really eye opening networking with all of the exhibitors [as well].
