Chase Dowling

Chase leads Base’s market operations team and resource qualification activities. Before joining Base, Chase was an engineer and operator for Tesla’s Autobidder platform, optimizing utility-scale batteries in wholesale energy markets internationally and operating Tesla Electric’s first ADER resources in ERCOT. Prior to Tesla, Chase spent 10 years at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, most recently as a Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy principal investigator. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Washington.
