Chris is actively involved within the Renewable Energy, Microgrid, Utility and Electric Power Distribution industries and is passionate about the New Energy Landscape. Having worked in the Electric Power industry for over 30 years, Chris has served as the Co-Chairman of the Microgrid Breakthroughs Committee at Power-Gen International for multiple years and is an active member of the IEEE PES T&D organization. Chris has presented numerous times at industry conferences such as Power-Gen, Distributech, IEEE Grid Edge Technologies, International District Energy Assoc., and International Society of Automation. Chris has worked at many of the largest automation companies including Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation and Emerson. Chris has a BS and MS in mechanical engineering and an MBA. He lives in Florida with his wife and has three (3) sons. Chris' hobbies include: Boating, running, biking and learning Pickleball.

"I think my favorite part of the conference has been essentially the Smarter Power Plant Track. There's been a lot of good [takeaways] for us because our plans are quite old, so there's a lot of manual readings and things, but me being the IT generation, I think it could be done better. So having a lot of these [takeaways] from companies who have [accomplished what] we are wanting to do is great. It's been really eye opening networking with all of the exhibitors [as well]. It's my first time here, but I don’t think it's going to be my last."
