Emily Critchell
Emily Critchell, P.E. is a Senior Development Engineer with a decade of experience within the renewable energy industry. At AES, she specializes in wind but also has experience with solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
Emily has been with AES for 3 years. She manages the Wind EPC RFP process for all Greenfield and Repower Wind Projects across the United States. She also supports early engineering and development efforts, M&A due diligience, and internal EPC CapEx estimating for all wind projects across the country.
Prior to joining AES, Emily spent the first 7 years of her career in the consulting realm as a civil engineer where she interfaced directly with owners, developers, and EPCs. She managed engineering design budgets and schedules, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. Her technical experience includes wind/solar site layouts, wind resource assessment, analyzing met tower data, attending microsite visits, hydrology studies, stormwater design, erosion and sediment control (E&SC) design, PV site grading, substation grading, site development, construction support, and transmission line design. Additional technical experience includes using ESRI ArcMap GIS software to create design maps that include project constraints, access road routing, collection routes, and project layouts.
