Greg Martin

Manager of Business Development & Strategy, DTE Vantage
Greg joined DTE in 2022 and is Manager of Business Development & Strategy for DTE Vantage. DTE Vantage focuses its products and services on energy intensive industrial, commercial and institutional customers across North America. Greg focuses on new business opportunities, evaluates technical and economic feasibility, and leads the preparation of proposals to potential clients. In addition, he guides projects through the complete development process including assessment of energy requirements, conceptual design of energy solution/technology, coordination of an internal project team, management of outside consultants, development of the legal and financial structures, operations contracts, and project scheduling. Prior to joining DTE, he worked in various engineering, commercial and operations leadership roles with BP. Greg received an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and BS degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.

"I think my favorite part of the conference has been essentially the Smarter Power Plant Track. There's been a lot of good [takeaways] for us because our plans are quite old, so there's a lot of manual readings and things, but me being the IT generation, I think it could be done better. So having a lot of these [takeaways] from companies who have [accomplished what] we are wanting to do is great. It's been really eye opening networking with all of the exhibitors [as well]. It's my first time here, but I don’t think it's going to be my last."
