CEO , Clearlight Energy

Jeff Norman is the Chief Executive Officer of Clearlight Energy, responsible for the operational and financial leadership of a 3.6 GW portfolio of renewable and clean energy assets across North America, alongside a 1.2 GW active development pipeline.

Prior to the launch of Clearlight Energy in 2025, Jeff spent nearly two decades in senior leadership roles at Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. He co‑founded and served as President of the Algonquin Power Venture Fund, later becoming Vice President of Project Development, Chief Development Officer, and ultimately President of Liberty Power. In that role, he oversaw 4 GW of operating assets and led the development of an 8 GW renewable project pipeline.

Across his 30‑year career, Jeff has led the acquisition, development, financing, construction, and operation of renewable generating facilities and utility infrastructure. Known for his strategic clarity and deep respect for the people he works with, Jeff fosters loyalty, collaboration, and purpose‑driven execution across teams and partners.

Jeff is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Accounting from the University of Waterloo.
