Jeff VanSickel, PE, LEED AP BD+C – manages a team of consultants in POWER Engineers’ Renewable Energy business unit. He has over 32 years of experience in electrical construction, design, and engineering and has served as a lead design engineer and engineer of record for BESS projects that total 916.3MW/2528.8MWh of storage capacity. The BESS design projects that Jeff has completed recently include coordination with project owners and owner’s engineers, developers, integrators, battery manufacturers, and PCS manufacturers. Those projects included the equipment general arrangement design, underground raceway and conductor design for power and comms, grounding design, site lighting design, and associated electrical calculations. Jeff is a professional engineer licensed in 20 states and Guam and is a licensed master electrician. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and IEEE. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University – Kingsville.
