Jhansi Kandasamy

Vice President, Advanced Nuclear , The Nuclear Company

Jhansi Kandasamy is the Vice President of Advanced Nuclear at The Nuclear Company, bringing over 35 years of nuclear industry experience. Prior to joining TNC in October 2024, she served as Executive Director of DOE's Idaho National Laboratory Net-Zero program and as Executive Vice President of Engineering at GE-Hitachi, where she supported operating reactors and designed new small modular reactors. Her career spans five nuclear generating stations—Limerick, Oyster Creek, Palo Verde, Salem, and Hope Creek—with progressive roles in engineering, operations, regulatory affairs, and senior project leadership. A recognized industry leader, she is past chair of U.S. Women in Nuclear, co-founder of U.S. WIN NEXT, Nuclear Executives of Tomorrow and currently serves on the WiN Global Executive Board. Recipient of the U.S. WIN Leadership Award (2024), the Real Leaders Impact Award (2024), and the Real Leaders Best Speaker Award (2025) and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from PSU and MBA.
