Jim Biggins has been actively involved in providing risk engineering services to the power generation industry for over 30 years, first at Marsh Risk Consulting and more recently at Global Risk Consultants.  At both of these organizations his responsibilities included leading the organization’s power generation practice and working with the majority of their power and utility clients.

In 2022 he joined CAC Specialty-Natural Resources as a Senior Vice President/Senior Risk Engineer, with an increased focus on renewables and leads CAC-NR’s risk engineering practice.  In this role he assists clients in addressing risk and safety issues associated with solar, wind and energy storage projects.

Jim has also been an active member of the National Fire Protection Association, where he has Chaired several Technical Committees and currently is the Chair of the Technical Committee on Energy Storage Systems, which is responsible for NFPA 855.

Jim is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned his degree in Fire Protection & Safety Engineering.
