John McConnachie

John McConnachie, P.E., is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 22 years of experience delivering complex energy infrastructure projects across utility, independent power, industrial, institutional, commercial, and technology sectors. He specializes in evaluating and executing projects from concept through commissioning, with expertise in power generation, thermal and hydronic systems, and emerging technologies such as microgrids, renewables, hydrogen, and energy storage. John has led multidisciplinary teams in managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risk, and quality while aligning technical solutions with client objectives. His experience includes integrated resource planning, plant repowering, feasibility studies, and lifecycle economic analysis, as well as negotiating complex commercial agreements and procurement strategies. He currently leads a team of consultants supporting energy project development and delivery, and is recognized for his strong leadership, communication, and ability to deliver high-quality projects safely, on time, and within budget.
