Joshua Bell is a nuclear innovation leader focused on the moment when future technology becomes simply how work gets done.
With more than 15 years of experience in the nuclear power industry, Josh has led the deployment of artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced digital tools across operating fleets. His work centers on moving beyond pilot projects, translating emerging technologies into deployed capabilities that improve safety, efficiency, decision making, and workforce productivity.
Josh previously led Dominion Energy’s robotics and AI initiatives, where his teams delivered practical, high-impact deployments at fleet scale. That work was recognized with three consecutive Nuclear Energy Institute Top Innovative Practice Awards from 2023 to 2025, including two Best of the Best selections.
Today, Josh serves as Director of NPX-US, where he supports both operating fleets and new build programs as a delivery partner, developing AI-driven solutions purpose-built for nuclear challenges. His role bridges operations, engineering, IT and cyber, vendors, and leadership to ensure AI adoption delivers measurable value at scale.
Josh holds degrees in Economics and Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Business Administration, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia. He is known for a pragmatic, collaborative, and execution-focused approach, with a consistent emphasis on adoption, cultural alignment, and real-world impact.
