Karen Bertram is the CEO of Integrated Energy a Veteran-Woman Owned Company. She has over 22 years of experience in the development and commercialization of Waste-to-Energy Conversion Technologies. She has been responsible for obtaining over 7 U.S. Patents and over 44 Foreign Patents in Continuous-Feed Pyrolysis as well as developing additional commercial designs that have received 5 U.S. Patents. Her pyrolysis technology was selected for the first commercial Waste-to-Energy plant at a U.S. Army installation. Working with Ameresco, she developed an integrated technology process design to generate “Green” Hydrogen from recovered water at Wastewater Treatment Plants and reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions as part of the H2 Hub Initiatives.
