Manish Jain

Manish Jain leads Sargent & Lundy’s transmission planning group, bringing 15+ years in transmission system operations and planning across ISO/RTO and regulated markets. He directs generator and load interconnection studies; transient and dynamic voltage stability assessments; and dynamic voltage recovery analyses. He participates in and contributes to the NERC Large Load Task Force. An industry leader in Energy Management System (EMS) applications for transmission operations, he chaired the EMS Modeling Subcommittee at the North American Transmission Forum (NATF) and served as the responsible manager for the deployment of OSI’s EMS for Exelon Transmission System Operations following more than a decade at Commonwealth Edison. His experience spans GE, ABB, and OSI EMS platforms; SCADA integration for transmission projects; and end‑to‑end telemetry, communications, and standards, including DNP3 and CONITEL protocols, communications over fiber and cellular media, and SCADA scan‑rate requirements. Manish holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
