Matthew (Matt) Thibodeau is a Senior Vice President and director of consulting services for Sargent & Lundy and leads client engagements primarily focusing on utility planning, decarbonization, grid modernization, technical advisory, strategic planning, renewable energy, thermal power generation, and energy storage services for clients located throughout the United States and in numerous other countries. Matt has significant expertise in the development, financing, construction, and operation of power plants, with significant experience in new project financings, mergers and acquisitions, and the cost and performance of power generation technologies. In addition, Matt has presented at numerous power industry conferences. Matt has a BS in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from the University of Michigan. Matt is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Puerto Rico.
