Michael Grasso

Michael Grasso is CEO of Grid Rails, a platform focused on real-time coordination, control, and settlement infrastructure for distributed energy systems and virtual power plants, and serves as a Board Advisor to OpenVPP. Michael brings extensive leadership experience across the energy, utility, and consumer technology sectors, with a strong background in Energy-as-a-Service business models, distributed energy growth, and utility modernization. Most recently, he served as EVP and Chief Revenue Officer at Sunnova Energy, where he led go-to-market strategy and revenue operations across residential, commercial, retail, grid services, and virtual power plant businesses. Prior to Sunnova, Michael held executive leadership positions at Sunrun, TXU Energy, USAA, and AT&T, including leading the launch of AT&T U-verse. Across his career, he has focused on scaling large consumer and energy platforms while advancing distributed energy adoption, customer participation, and grid innovation.
