With over 25 years of experience in the utility industry, Michael J. Wright, PE is our Chief Development Officer focusing on the development of people, acquisitions, QualU, and continued integration of new acquisitions. Michael received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College. Beginning his career at Progress Energy as a protection & control engineer, Wright also taught as an Adjunct Professor at Valencia College while working at Progress Energy, now known as Duke Florida. Prior to acquisition by Qualus, Wright led Power Grid Engineering as Co-Founder and President to 320 employees, 4 engineering offices, and known for being the largest substation P&C testing & commissioning company in the nation. Wright is a registered Professional Engineer in 33 states.
