Director of Generation Technology, Duke Energy
Peter Hoeflich is the Director of Generation Technology in Duke Energy’s Generation and Transmission Strategy Organization. In his role, he evaluates emerging generation and long duration storage technologies. Additionally, his group works with appropriate internal and external organizations to determine regulatory, policy, and business implications related to the potential implementation of these technologies. Previously, Mr. Hoeflich led central engineering’s analytical and process engineering team which was focused on developing environmental compliance strategies, program management, as well as fuel and waste water treatment engineering support. Mr. Hoeflich has over 30 years of experience in the energy and power generation industries. During that time, he has served in various leadership and technical roles. Mr. Hoeflich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Grove City College and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Ohio State.
