At the International CCS Knowledge Centre (Knowledge Centre) Rafay guides the engineering and project management teams to achieve success in project execution and knowledge sharing to support our core value of advancing the implementation of carbon capture.

Rafay’s true passion lies in fostering growth in individuals and teams alike by creating an inclusive environment that promotes creative problem solving backstopped by a practical understanding of technical and economic business drivers.

Prior to joining the Knowledge Centre, Rafay worked as an engineering and project management consultant. His experience ranges from large capital projects to feasibility studies on new technologies for use in the oil and gas industry. His areas of technical expertise include amine plants, natural gas liquids and refrigeration, CO2 compression, dehydration and transport.

Rafay holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from McGill University and is a registered professional engineer in the province of Alberta.
