Richard Esposito

R&D Program Manager , Southern Company

Dr. Esposito is a veteran of the electrical utility industry with more than 35 years of leadership related to environmental management. He is currently the R&D program manager for Carbon Management at the National Carbon Capture Center, which is managed and operated by Southern Company for the U.S. Department of Energy. Esposito is a technical and subject matter expert for a wide range of topics. He has a diverse academic background with a B.S. and M.S. degree in geology, M.S. degree in environmental management, and Ph.D. in engineering. He has published extensively and lectured worldwide on a wide range of energy-related issues.

POWERGEN has been really helpful in identifying the industry scale of what’s going on behind the scenes, and how that affects each and every one of us across different divisions, levels, and inputs in the industry itself [...] That’s something not everybody gets to experience at other conferences.
