Robert Moore serves as Managing Director, Energy, and Assets at Recurrent Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc., and functions as Canadian Solar’s global development and power services business.  Recurrent Energy is one of the world’s largest and most geographically diversified utility-scale solar and energy storage project development, ownership, and operations platforms.

In this role, Robert focuses on Origination and Structuring, Commercial Operations, and Asset Management and assists large power buyers in U.S. and European markets and Fortune 500 companies to meet their competitive clean electricity and storage goals.   

Robert has over 25 years of investment banking, finance, and energy/commodity trading experience focusing on merchant generation, investor-owned and public power utilities.  He is experienced in structuring and trading energy commodity products and developing power generation and storage facilities on a hedge, proprietary and investing basis.  He has held leadership roles at investor-owned utilities and investment banking firms.

Robert earned a BS in Economics from Davidson College and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
