Samrat Datta
Samrat Datta is the Director, Resource Planning and Market Analytics, at Entergy. In this role, he is responsible for developing the company’s long-term resource plan, analytical support for integrated resource plans and request for proposals, and for providing regulatory support associated with the execution of the resource plan. In addition, his team is also responsible for managing the MISO stakeholder engagement, the Distribution interconnection process, and the development of microgrids that deliver benefits to the electric grid. He joined Entergy in 2003 and worked in various positions in the Transmission Planning Group through 2017. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Mississippi and holds a M.S.E.E. degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
