Tom Sarkus is a Senior Managerial & Technical Advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). Tom has 44 years of professional experience including 37 years with DOE, where he has advanced technological solutions to energy and environmental issues such as acid rain and climate change. More specifically, he has worked on NETL's major demonstration programs since their inception in the mid-1980s. Tom focuses on applied technology; that is, large-scale demonstration, deployment, and commercialization.
