Todd Noe is a visionary leader in the field of nuclear energy engineering and development. He leads a team at Microsoft that researches develops, and deploys innovative energy technologies to support the company’s data center growth and sustainability goals. He is the architect of a strategic roadmap for utilizing new nuclear energy that complements Microsoft’s global commitment of 100/100/0 by 2030. He is also exploring the use of nuclear technologies to provide efficient, reliable, and carbon-free energy in collaboration with key partners in the clean energy sector.

Todd has extensive experience and expertise in the U.S. commercial nuclear power industry. As the former Director of Nuclear Plant Engineering at the Tennessee Valley Authority, he spearheaded the equipment performance improvement for a seven nuclear unit fleet (8700 Mwe capacity). Under his leadership, the fleet achieved a remarkable turnaround from last to first in the industry within three years.

Todd has also held technical and operational leadership positions at nuclear weapons production facilities and small research reactors. He has been a member of multiple nuclear industry executive oversight committees and participated in numerous industry initiatives. He is a respected authority and a sought-after speaker on innovative energy technology topics.
