Una Nowling P.E. is a Senior Project Manager and Global Technology Lead for many areas of Black & Veatch's Energy & Process Industries. Now in her 30th year in the industry, her primary work is on plant efficiency improvement, decarbonization, biomass and other renewable fuels, and various scientific studies, such as rare earth element extraction and processing. She has managed more than 250 projects in her 30-year career at Black & Veatch. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) campus, author of the "Marnie Surfaceblow" series of stories, and a radio and club DJ.
