Yves Masset

Development Director, NextEra
Yves Masset is an experienced energy professional specializing in the development of energy storage solutions. Yves currently serves as Director of Development at NextEra Energy. In this role, he negotiates power purchase agreements for renewable energy and storage projects with utilities and C&I customers nationwide. He previously managed the overall profit and loss of major generating and battery storage assets for NextEra Energy Resources and spent 15 years in the Nuclear Industry with Westinghouse in various engineering and management roles. He holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Institut Superieur Ingénieur Industriel Gramme in Belgium.

There's been a lot of good [takeaways] for us because our plans are quite old, so there's a lot of manual readings and things, but me being the IT generation, I think it could be done better. So having a lot of these [takeaways] from companies who have [accomplished what] we are wanting to do is great. It's been really eye opening networking with all of the exhibitors [as well].
