Join us for the Waterpower Networking Social in the Turbine Room at The Powerplant Texas Bar & Grill, set within the historic Saffold Dam.

Saffold Dam, named after early landowner William Saffold, was modified in the late 1800s by Henry Troell to power a cotton gin. The City of Seguin bought the site in 1907 and later added a hydroelectric plant. The dam crosses the Guadalupe River, named in 1689 by Spanish explorer Alonso de León, a waterway central to early Texas settlement and the Texas Revolution.

Connect with professionals from across the waterpower and renewable energy sectors in a one-of-a-kind venue that reflects the region’s rich hydroelectric history. The venue is approximately 45 minutes from the convention center, and round-trip transportation will be provided for all attendees.
